Jimmy Hill Beach is a public pristine white sand beach conveniently located in the center of the island. Say "I do" while facing outwards over the crystal blue Atlantic Ocean and experience this pinnacle of tropical luxury and one of the most romantic places on earth.

Tropic of Cancer Beach--breathtaking beautiful beach -$250

Located on the beautiful eastern end of the island just outside of George Town, it is the parallel of latitude that lies currently 23° 26' 22" north of the Equator. This is precisely where the Tropic of Cancer divides the island between the classification of tropics and sub-tropics. North of this line is the subtropics. South of the line is the tropics. It is the farthest northern latitude at which the sun can appear directly overhead, which occurs on the June solstice. The sun is directly overhead at noon on the Tropic of Cancer on June 21 (the beginning of summer in the Northern Hemisphere and the beginning of winter in the Southern Hemisphere) and the sun is directly overhead at noon on the Tropic of Capricorn on December 21 (the beginning of winter in the Northern Hemisphere and the beginning of summer in the Southern Hemisphere). The tropics are based on the sun's position in relation to the earth at two points of the year. The area bounded by the Tropic of Cancer on the north and Tropic of Capricorn on the south is known as the "tropics." This area does not experience seasons because the sun is always high in the sky. Only higher latitudes, north of the Tropic of Cancer and south of the Tropic of Capricorn, experience significant seasonal variation in climate.

The Tropic of Cancer runs through The Bahamas, Mexico, Egypt, Saudi Arabia, India, and southern China. You can be assured of a tropical paradise for your island wedding because an Exuma island wedding is truly tropical!

St. Andrew's Anglican Church - $350

If you prefer a religious setting for your wedding day, this church was built in 1802 by the Loyalist settlers who arrived in Exuma from the Carolinas. This verdant oasis juxtaposed by a busy island village and the sea reflects the gracious style of the Out Islands with its grand arched entry ways, red-tiled roofs, and whitewashed walls. Its amidst an idyllic setting of exquisite bougainvillea, swaying palms, bird of paradise and other tropical bloom.
St. Andrews provides an heavenly location for a wedding as it sits ideally on a small bluff overlooking Lake Victoria. The church is a historical site of George Town, built in traditional Bahamian cottage style and the chapel can accommodate private ceremonies for up to 300 guests. Available daily except Sundays.

The Club is George Town's oldest, historic hotel with a magnificent view Elizabeth Harbour. Limited to 50 guests and a minimum of $75.00 food and beverage spend per person for Poolside and Pierside cermonies. Bride and Groom must be registered guests of the hotel.
